Creator of the Scala Lift web framework comes to London for an exclusive workshop
David Pollak -- the creator of the Lift web framework -- is coming to London on September 14 for an exclusive one-off workshop all about Lift.
This three day workshop, written and delivered by David at Skills Matter, will include and expand on the full content of his Lift Basics Workshop, first introducing you to the Lift Web Framework, working to create dynamic, interactive, secure web sites using Lift.
Following the first day of Lift basics, days two and three will have a focus on real world problems, sharing skills and innovating with Lift, all driven by the participant’s needs and their real-world applications. Discussions, debates, and sharing of best practices with the community and the creator of Lift himself will make this workshop "essential" learning for anyone interested in Lift.
Lift is an expressive and elegant framework for writing secure, scalable, interactive web applications. Following the practical hands-on aspects of the Lift Basics Workshop, David will spend two days helping you to better understand Lift's Java and Scala APIs, as well as offering practical support and expert insights for your Lift Framework.
Do you build web sites for sports betting or real-time financial trading? Lift is the ideal platform for these applications: secure, scalable, and excellent support for server-push. Learn how to use Lift to build sites like this and how Lift’s design makes the Real Time Web super-simple.
David Pollak's hands-on and interactive style will allow you to take this three-day Lift Essentials workshop in the direction that best suits your needs. The Lift Essentials workshop will have a focus on real world problems, sharing skills and innovating with Lift, all driven by the participant’s needs and their real-world applications.
This event is a one-off with no plans to be repeated.
