For the past eight(8) years Schalk Neethling has been working as a freelance developer under the pseudo of Volume4 and is now the president of Overt Strategy Consulting. During this period he has completed over 300 projects ranging from full web application development to complete branding. As president and lead developer of Overt Strategy Consulting, Schalk Neethling and his team has released a 100% Java standards based content management system called AlliedBridge and business document exchange and review system, called Doc-Central. Schalk Neethling is also actively involved on a daily basis in the open source, web standards and accessibility areas and is a current active member of the Web Standards Group. On 24 June 2008 Genuitec announced the availability of a new version of the MyEclipse IDE. Along with the announcement posted on the Web Builder Zone, Eclipse Zone, Ruby Zone, PHP Zone and Javalobby we launched a competition where 5 lucky DZone users could win a 1 year license for MyEclipse FREE. All you had to do was comment on the announcement and honestly give your opinion on MyEclipse and how you are using it in your day to day development.

I'm a 25 year old Java Developer from Belgium, currently working for the National Bank of Belgium. I'm in the application architecture group, a team that is currently developing an internal framework based on state of the art open source Java technologies (Spring/Hibernate/JSF, ...). I get the opportunity to learn a lot and discover state of the art technologies, which is great!

Amr Ellafi

Amr is a fresh and experienced IT graduate with three years software development experience within a Microsoft development environment. With specialist development skills in C#, ASP.NET, XML, SQL Server, IIS, PHP and server side Python.

Though his primary stack is .NET, he developes using many open source alternatives such as NHibernate, NUnit, NBatis, Spring.NET, Castle containers and Microsoft's patterns and practices library. Amr has been working as a freelance developer for the past two years.

Michael Riecken

Michael Riecken is a consultant, specializing in Java application development an design and system architecture.  He works for mid-sized consulting compnay named Trissential in the Minneapolis area.  Because full-time work isn't enough to keep him out of trouble, he is one of the principals of the JetMesa project, which is a Java-based, open-source multi-touch platform.  He is also the father of seven home-schooled children and husband to a very understanding wife.
