After seeing a 401 gone message for many weeks when visiting Mark Pilgrim's acclaimed "Dive into HTML5" online book, I now see that everything is back up again!  His other renowned "Dive into.. " tutorials seem to be back up as well thanks to new web locations which can be easily found with a google search.  I confirmed this for Dive into Python and Dive into Accessability.  Dive into HTML5 is now at diveintohtml5.info instead of diveintohtml5.org.

If you didn't hear already about why these much-beloved sites were down, it was because Mark Pilgrim has taken a break from internet life.  It was Mark himself who took down the content, and people actually called the police wondering if he was in trouble.  It's not the first time he's done it either.  There's no certainty as to whether or not he'll return to cyberspace, but for now, some of his greatest achievements are back online for the benefit of the web community.  It really shows how important one person can be to the web community when you take away what they've contributed.

For the resurrection of Dive into HTML5, you can thank these fine developers.

Update:
HTML5 Doctor is also doing a mirror of Dive into HTML5 and has a list of all the other mirrors that have been created so far.
