One of the main advantages of Flash video over HTML5 video is the larger ecosystem behind Flash.  The Open Source Media Framework is one project that Ben Farrell is keeping an eye on.  It lets you add in analytics and advertisements, for example, right out of the box.  All you have to do is add video and your UI.  Farrell is currently working on his own open source project that imports and synchronizes music for Flex-based games.

Ben Farrell is a Flash/Flex engineer at Digital Smiths.  His team makes Flash video players for major websites.  For them, the larger ecosystem for Flash video makes it  a much more viable platform for business than HTML5
