Everything You Need to Know About ColdFusion Builder
ColdFusion Builder is the first IDE built specifically for ColdFusion. Currently in its third beta, CF Builder doesn't use a GUI interface for designing interfaces in WYSIWYG fashion. Instead, it breaks free from the pre-packaged functionality with extensions to expand the Eclipse-based environment. An introduction to CF Builder is given by Simon Free, who works with E-Bim.
This session reviews everything you need to know about creating and implementing CF Builder extensions. Armed with this knowledge, ColdFusion developers can add any functionality they need. CF Builder also can integrate its workflow with the Adobe Flash Platform through Flash Builder 4. The CFML tags and functions in CF Builder can leverage data from existing infrastructures such as Microsoft SharePoint, Exchange, Office, .NET, Java Objects, IMAP and more.
